The Gaming Awards and More

Welcome to this Friday’s Gamers Digest!

Warframe: 1999 has found a way to incorporate the glitches and bugs while CoD is having to fight off cheaters and hackers. The Game Awards didn’t cover this during their announcements, but they did announce the latest games that are getting ready to launch within the next year. Here’s what we know:

What better way to deal with bugs in a live game than by simply incorporating them into the gameplay? This creative and effective way of fixing problems is a perfected art over at Digital Extremes. The latest instalment to the series, Warframe: 1999 has a neat feature where you can access nuclear-powered motorbikes that explode on impact. The fans loved this feature so much that they found a way to spawn the vehicles on other maps as well. Here’s how Digital Extremes dealt with it.

Cheaters, hackers and looters. All things you’ll see in the newest CoD addition, and players are begging for help. Despite anti-cheating efforts, the cheaters who have been plaguing the game continue to cause havoc and stay ahead of the efforts. Team RICOCHET has been implementing account bans whenever they see a problem pop up, but it doesn’t seem to be working fast enough for some. Read about it here.

Fortnite Chapter 6 has been a pleasant surprise for many so far, and the added layer of Boons and Sprites made the deal even sweeter. They’ve also introduced a feature that will basically bridge the gap between mechanical and non-mechanical players. The Simple Edit is exactly what it sounds like. Players will be able to edit quickly and efficiently with one tap. To read about the feature in full, read here

We’ve seen a teaser trailer for the game Mashina, and now the Judero makers are asking fans to help fund it. Fear not; the stop motion aesthetic will continue on from the developer’s previous game Judero. Mashina will also be continuing bizarre gameplay and storyline style, a Tayla and Jack co-speciality. Fans are slightly disappointed in the latest development within Steam Prison: Beyond the Steam, but the attention to romance was not missed.

“A really well-done follow-up in some ways, with a fascinating story, but I also can’t help but feel that it isn’t good at delivering when building on existing romances or finally romancing Sachsen.”

Other reviews worth checking out:

  • Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl (6/10) “Its performance, technical issues, and poor AI hold it back from reaching its full potential.”

  • Antonblast (10/10) “The new leader to beat in its sector, we’re talking pure ecstasy.”

  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (8/10) “The few stumbles that do happen don’t diminish the larger story, and I only wish it were longer.”
