Some have not been as lucky as others, unfortunately. After launching a mere two weeks ago, the PlayStation Publishing Steam game Concord has had to retract all purchases and releases. The company announced that any purchases made on PS5 and PC would be refunded after the launch “didn’t land as we intended.” The way it was described sounds as if we’ll have a free-to-play version on the cards in the not-so-distant future. The sales and press were so poor that it comes as no surprise that Sony cut the cord. After eight years of development, this one must have come as a blow. Find out about it here.

It’s coming towards the end of the year, and many developers are pushing for their launch dates. Perhaps that’s why games such as Concord felt rushed in the end. On the other hand, games such as Black Myth Wukong, which spent two years less in development than Concord, found a lot of success. Will we see another launch flop before the end of the year?
