Two expansions per year? What is this new seasonal model for Destiny, and how will it affect the excitement of a new Destiny release? Codename: Apollo has just been announced as the first of the four new changes that will be coming to Destiny 2 within the year. Was The Final Shape all for nothing now that they are doing a complete overhaul of the system? The best news is that all of these updates will be made freely available to gamers. There will be no waiting, queuing or breaking the bank in order to enjoy what Bungie has in store for fans.

Minecraft is Far From Over

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But what about keeping up with the modern-day gaming commands? That’s exactly what Mojang Studios has decided to do with the world-famous Minecraft that it acquired in 2014. There will be more of an effort to update the game within each season and the updates will be made according to fan demands! Developers plan to stay in the loop with fan demands and desires by reaching out in Minecraft Live. There will be an additional Minecraft Live each year followed by a number of new updates.

Another controversial change coming to a fan favorite is the reduction of power levels in LoL in an attempt to bring back the importance of champion choices. This fan-called ‘Champion Update’ is Riot’s attempt at saving gameplay as they feel there has been less of an emphasis on skill and more on playing the popular champions. They want fans to log in to play all of the games, not just challenge the big names.

Saber Interactive heard the fans’ early calls and answered. A large update is set to arrive in the coming months, and we’ve heard whispers of what we might see in the release. Hotfix 2.1 will arrive before the end of the year and offer fans the experience of a Sparring Arena, Battle Barge and private PvE lobbies. Along with these additional features, there will be a number of generic bug and crash fixes. Read about the update in detail here.

Celestia Chain of Fate Reviewed and Rated

Otome games aren’t known for their original love stories and exciting sagas, and unfortunately, Celestial Chain of Fate isn’t an exception to the trend. The storyline feels pirated from other more famous games, and the overall feel of the game is a bit bland and unexciting. Don’t believe us? Read about the game in Siliconera’s review here.

Other reviews worth checking are:

  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 (9/10): “A hallmark of excellence”

  • NBA 2K25 (8/10): “Smoother crossovers, deeper modes, and a worthwhile experience”

  • Umamusume (7/10): “has the signature hot-blooded yet sweet touch.”

  • Marvel vs Capcom (9/10): “great collection of some fantastic, over-the-top, and fast fighting games.”

Upcoming releases (week of Sept. 16)

  • The Plucky Squire (Sept. 17)

  • Final Fantasy XVI PC (Sept. 17)

  • God of War Ragnarok PC (Sept. 19)

  • Frostpunk 2 (Sept. 20)

Maybe the Concord saga last week scared a few famous names and resulted in developers pulling up their socks to keep the fans excited. With so many fan favorites receiving a facelift this year, we almost don’t need to look forward to the new releases. Stay tuned for old dogs learning new tricks.
