Whether you believe League of Legends ranked games should be taken seriously or simply view rankings as another space in the game to have fun and mess around, you can’t deny that ranked games have taken a nosedive recently. Sony said: “You’re gonna get a cool update, but in exchange, we’ll force you to watch these ads over and over again.” Sounds like a pretty sour deal to me. The new firmware update that arrived on PS5 included a welcome hub for players to enter, with all of the vital information for the players, including controller charge, storage, and… ads?! Instead of a subtle background advertisement, these popped up on the screen. Fortunately, they were just a bug that’s now fixed, but it left players extremely worried for a bit.
