A teen in the US had just beaten the 1985 game in record-breaking style and Black Ops 6 has been announced and there will be no teasers! The world of gaming has had some exciting announcements and achievements this past week. Let’s tuck in and unpack the latest and juiciest gaming news.

Michael Artiaga has achieved what was thought to be impossible. The Tetris streamer known as “dogplayingtetris” became the first player known to have beaten the game, and he did it all within 82 minutes! This record-breaking streak has surprisingly never been done before in the odd 40 years that it’s been around, and there’s a very specific reason you can read about here. Better yet, you can watch the full thing on his recorded stream! The streamer had an audience for the whole thing, making the feat even more impressive with all the pressure from onlookers.

The biggest teaser for the new Black Ops 6 campaign is that there will be no tease! A highly anticipated feature of new Call of Duty games won’t release this time. What we do know is enough to keep our interest peaked, but the lack of information has a few feeling a bit of dismay. The game will launch on October 25, 2024, so the wait isn’t long now.

Rockstar has finally announced that Red Dead Redemption will be coming to PC, as well as an exciting new Undead Nightmare expansion pack. The long-awaited launch is super close, and the build-up has been massive! For more information about what to expect from the launch as well as the bonus expansion pack, read on here.

Paramount Game Studios and Saber Interactive would also like a piece of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Following the announcement of the new Airbender film, a high-quality RPG is apparently in the works. Players will be able to access this nostalgic remix on PC and Console, but the wait will be really, really long. All the hype has come up again after the successful launch of Season 1 of the live-action Avatar, and it doesn’t look like it will stop there. Read about the future of The Last Airbender here.

Destiny 2 Revenant: Act 1 launch was just the other week and had plenty of excitement surrounding it, but unfortunately, there’s not enough content to play. Many were disappointed by just how short the Act was and how quickly it could be completed. We’re not being dramatic; you can actually finish the story faster than you can cook and eat a meal. This has left many feeling let down after all that build-up. Not only that but there was further disappointment with the storyline itself. Read about what fans had to say here.

To be the developer of Silent Hill 2 and be in charge of this iconic sequel is no easy challenge. With a game that receives so much hype, the scrutiny is multiplied significantly. With that said, fans were more disappointed by the change in plot. You don’t need to have played the first one to get this one. The plot is as thick as the mist you have to navigate, and the jumpscares that come out of it are juicy, but it falls short on the technical aspect. Read about the technical difficulties many faced here.
